Unleash your creativity and enjoy a fun, hands-on experience in the studio with Paint Your Own Pottery! Whether you're creating a special keepsake, a gift, or simply want to spend a relaxing afternoon painting, this is a great way to get creative and make something uniquely yours!

Because studio availability can vary, please check the schedule when booking to confirm the available date.

Price: 

Reserve your spot for $25 per person. Your $25 reservation fee goes directly toward the cost of the pottery piece you choose to paint, and you’ll simply pay the remaining balance when you’re finished.

Most of our pottery pieces are $40–$50, with special pieces such as vases, travel cups, matcha bowls, and more available depending on what’s currently in stock.

For example: If you choose a $40 mug, your $25 reservation fee will be applied toward the piece, so you’ll pay just $15 at the studio.

Spots are very limited each day to keep the experience relaxed and personal. If you’re looking to book a group of more than 3 people, please reach out to us directly at livingkiln@gmail.com so we can see what we can accommodate.

How It Works

Please arrive promptly at 4:00 PM. Your two-hour experience begins right at 4:00, and the studio closes at 6:00 PM, so arriving on time is essential.

When you arrive, you'll:

1. Choose your pottery piece.
   Select from a variety of pieces, including mugs, cups, bowls, vases, and other pottery pieces. Selection will vary depending on what is currently available in the studio.
2. Get painting instructions and tips.
   We'll explain how to paint your piece and share helpful tips and techniques to help you get the best results.
3. Paint your piece!
   You'll have the remainder of the two-hour session to bring your idea to life. You may paint one piece or multiple pieces, depending on the size and complexity of your selections and the time available.
4. Leave it with us to finish.
   Once you're done painting, we'll take care of the remaining process to prepare your pottery.

Come With an Idea in Mind

With only two hours in the studio, we recommend coming prepared with an idea of what you'd like to paint. You don't need a perfect design or artistic experience—just having a general idea, color palette, pattern, or inspiration in mind will help you make the most of your time.

Pinterest, photos, patterns, favorite colors, and simple sketches are all great sources of inspiration!

Important Details

• Session time: 4:00–6:00 PM
• Arrival time: 4:00 PM — please do not arrive late, as instructions and pottery selection are part of your scheduled session.
• Studio closes: 6:00 PM
• Experience level: No artistic experience necessary!
• Pottery selection: Mugs, cups, vases, and a variety of other handmade pieces will be available. Selection varies.
• Pirice: $25 reservation price and additional $15-25 for the pottery piece. Total ≈ $40-$50.
• Painting time: You have two hours to complete your piece or pieces.
• Finished pottery: Your pottery will need additional studio processing after your painting session.
• Pickup: Finished pieces will be ready for pickup within approximately 2–4 weeks. We'll let you know when your pottery is ready.
• Design tip: Please have an idea in mind before arriving so you can make the most of your two-hour session.
